In Dhurandhar: The Revenge — the much-anticipated second installment of the franchise — Sanjay Dutt essays the role of SP Chaudhary Aslam, a character inspired by the real-life Karachi police officer known for his fearless crackdown on crime and terror networks. The portrayal has been widely praised for its gravitas, intensity, and screen presence, adding significant weight to the high-stakes narrative.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar series follows the gripping story of an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan’s notorious Lyari region to dismantle a dangerous criminal and political syndicate targeting India.
The first part built tension through a fierce confrontation between Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, while the sequel escalates the drama as Ranveer’s character comes face-to-face with Sanjay Dutt’s formidable SP Chaudhary Aslam and Arjun Rampal.
The ensemble cast also features strong supporting performances by R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Sara Arjun, and Udaybir Sandhu.
With its explosive action, sharp writing, and stellar performances, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, further cementing Sanjay Dutt’s status as a timeless powerhouse whose aura continues to captivate audiences across generations.
