Netflix’s breakout deception game Million Dollar Secret is going celebrity. Celebrity Million Dollar Secret will bring together 13 famous faces for the streamer’s high-stakes twist on hidden-identity gameplay, with the series set to premiere in 2027.

Comedian and actor Peter Serafinowicz returns as host, guiding the cast through the same format that made the original series a hit: one contestant is secretly handed $1,000,000 at the start of the game, and everyone else has to figure out who it is before the money walks out the door.

How the Game Works

Celebrity Million Dollar Secret follows the same core format as the original civilian series: contestants move into a luxurious shared estate, and at the very start of the game, one of them is secretly awarded $1,000,000 in cash. That player can only keep the money if they make it to the end without being identified. Everyone else spends the game trying to piece together clues, behavior, and social slip-ups to figure out who’s sitting on the fortune — and vote them out before it’s too late.

The civilian version of the show has been compared to The Traitors for its psychological, trust-based gameplay, though the core twist — hiding a windfall rather than hiding a role — gives it its own identity. Season 1 was won by former In-N-Out line cook Cara Kies, and Season 2 was won by Nick Pellecchia over runners-up Lauren Gierth and Kaleb Moon.
